The Byte CII fleet sailed two races with Northerly wind up to 5 knots in the first, the last one with a westerly wind between 8 and 12 knots. In the men's division World Champion Darren Choy from Singapore was the first to cross the finishing line in the two races, but this results wasn’t good enough to get to the top of the overall results. First after seven races is now Hungarian Peter Batho, followed by Terence Choo (Singapore) and Norwegian Heral Faste in third. The winner ot the third race of the day was the Italian Marco Benini from Lake Garda. In the women's division the same sailors keep the head of results, Polish Sara Piasecka (1-4-6) and Austrian Lara Vadlau (4-1-7).
The large fleet, the 420s finished their series today with two more races. The two Italian teams leading the results since yesterday won overall. The male crew of Francesco Falcetelli/Gabriele Franciolini finished with a 29 points advantage over the secondo team, while the crew of Roberta Caputo/Benedetta Barbiero are the winners in the female division.
The was a delay for the Olympic classes (470 and Laser) waiting for the Westerly wind to blow constantly over the sail area. Two races were sailed for both classes.
In the 470 class, male division Italian crew Desiderato/Fonda won both races. Another Italian crew, Camilla Marino/Anna Gracia Malventi are the series leaders.
There were two races as well for Laser class where the leader is French sailor Rodrigue Cabaz.
Tomorrow the Byte CII Europen Championship will come to an end with more races for 470 and Laser classes.
