Audi Laser Eurocup - Lake Como Day 3

EVEN PARADISE HAS ITS OFF DAYS!
Sometimes their just isn't enough change for the wind machine, and under a grey sky, the sailors had to be content with ice cream and strong coffee for most of the day. A small breeze in the late afternoon saw the action get
under way, and whilst the Laser 4000s were never able to start a race, the Laser 5000s and Laser.eps managed to get a light wind race in.
In the Laser.eps fleet Phillipe Peron kept his one point lead over Audi's Andy White as both sailors put in high scores and discarded them. Laser Centre Scotland's Peter Taylor took the bullet, beating Emma Paull to the line in the light conditions.
The lead changed again in the Laser 5000 fleet, with Aquatonic winning by a large margin and knocking Holt's Robbie Wells & Ali Hall back into second. The Richards brothers' downwind speed saw off the challenge from Holt within the first lap, and after that it was the same slick and smooth Aquatonic that we are used to seeing that cruised on to the finish line. Mark Rushall & Jonnie Meers in Proctor continue to have a less than ideal series, with an uncharacteristic lack of pace. They are in a close scrap for 3rd place with Audi's Alex McMillan & Will Penfold and Spinlock's Ollie Holden & Ben Clothier, all within one and a half points of each other.
