Excess, a leading brand in the world of catamarans, announces the launch of 3000 MILES, a new documentary that delves into the preparations of two families getting ready to cross the Atlantic.

The teaser will be screened in 50 cinemas across France as part of the Sailorz Film Festival.

A story of family and mindset

3000 MILES captures the essence of adventure: the kind that begins long before you cast off. Over several weeks, the documentary follows two families - a Dutch couple with their three children aboard an Excess 11 and a French-South African couple at the helm of an Excess 14 - as they prepare for the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers), the reference for transatlantic rallyes.

Prepare the boat. Learn. Train. Anticipate. Doubt sometimes. Manage supplies, technical challenges, life on board, fears and excitement. Gradually, everything falls into place. Minds, movements, bodies.

The Atlantic mode is on.

3000 Miles in on screen!

To mark the release, Excess has chosen the Sailorz Film Festival to unveil the teaser of 3000 MILES within 50 cinemas in France between February and April 2026. This allows the public to immerse themselves in this amazing adventure.

The documentary will be released in April 2026 across all Excess platforms.
