The wait is over! The 2025 Sydney Boat Show opened its doors at 10am yesterday, welcoming visitors to four days of boating, fishing and marine lifestyle inspiration at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Running from 9am to 5pm daily until Sunday 17 August, the show brings together more than 400 boats, thousands of products and an action-packed program of entertainment and education all under one roof. Whether a first-time boatie, a seasoned sailor, an avid angler, or a family looking for a great day out, there's something here for everyone.

An innovative 11th hour Protocol for the 2027 America's Cup has been agreed between the Challenger of Record and the Defender. It creates a commercial framework for the current and future Cups, eases nationality rules, and has a quota for female sailors. The full release by the Defender and Challenger is as follows: The Defender of the America's Cup, The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, represented by Team New Zealand, and the Challenger of Record, The Royal Yacht Squadron Ltd, represented by Athena Racing, have signed the Protocol for the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup set to take place in Naples, in the summer of 2027. The Protocol introduces a groundbreaking partnership that establishes equal authority between all participating teams.

Marine Rescue NSW volunteers completed 237 search and rescue missions in July, including 82 emergency responses, safely returning 450 people to shore. "The cooler weather didn't deter boaters from heading out on the water, with Marine Rescue NSW crews on the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast in high demand — both regions experiencing their busiest July on record," said Commissioner Alex Barrell. "Demand for assistance was also high across Greater Sydney, with volunteer crews safely returning 150 people to shore last month."

Meet Ripple, the Cure 55 Boat 02. "The Cure 55 exists because we weren't satisfied with what the market had to offer. This isn't just an evolution, it's a clean break from compromise. With Miyu - Boat 01, we introduced an innovative, lightweight, safe, and fast boat. Building on that success, Ripple brings a new level of maturity and refinement that's been shaped by the unique needs of her owner. The result is nothing short of exceptional."

Carbon Yachts, the exclusive representative for YYachts in Australia and New Zealand, is inviting expressions of interest for the new YYachts Y6. Penned by Bill Tripp for straightforward, owner-operated handling, the carbon-built Y6 is designed to be run by an owner, controlled solo or as a couple, without giving up comfort or aesthetics.

For the first time in its history, Edencraft International has built a centre console. The all-new 655CC answers years of calls from serious boaters who wanted Edencraft's legendary performance in a layout made for fishing freedom. Making its world debut this weekend, the Sydney Boat Show is the only place to see it before it hits the water for customers.

Sunpower Yachts International Pty Ltd, a pioneer in luxury solar electric marine technology, proudly announces the global launch of the Sunpower Solar-eJET 3.3m Inflatable Tender, the world's first solar e-jet tender designed to be seamlessly recharged directly from the yacht's solar energy system—eliminating the need for fuel, cables, or shore power.

Yellowfin Plate Boats has just dropped its latest serious offshore rig the all-new YF-76F Extended Cabin Twin built for those who don't shy away from rough water, long hauls, and big fish. At 7.6 metres, this beast doesn't just punch above its weight it dominates offshore. Designed for extended blue water missions, the Extended Cabin offers enhanced protection, more usable space, and superior comfort for long days chasing tuna, mackerel, and anything else that hits hard and runs fast. Add the Twin Pod configuration, and you've got next-level stability, faster planning, and serious motor mounting flexibility.

Quintrex, has unveiled the latest evolution of its Territory Legend line-up the 550 and 610 models now tougher, smarter, and more feature-packed than ever before. Quintrex has officially lifted the covers on the newly updated 550 and 610 Territory Legend models revised from bow to stern to meet the demands of anglers who push further, fish harder, and demand more from their boat. "Inspired by some of the toughest fishing conditions in Australia, we've dived deeper with those anglers to understand their evolving needs and offer an even more potent fishing vessel" Lloyd Jaber, Product Strategy Manager, Quintrex.
