Plymouth yacht rigging firm expands its operation to the Hamble

by Catherine Sims 5 Sep 2014 15:31 BST 5 September 2014

Plymouth-based yacht rigging firm, Allspars is expanding its operation to the Hamble and has opened a new workshop in the former Solent Spars building at Swanwick Marina, Southampton.

The new branch will be managed by Mark Wilkinson, who has extensive experience of running yacht rigging and sail making lofts, both in New Zealand and the UK.

Allspars was established in 1997 and prides itself on its professional service, together with extensive experience in the industry, and has now grown to be one of the largest yacht rigging companies in Europe.

Allspars supplies the sailing community with bespoke rigging solutions, masts, booms, furling gear, hydraulics, deck hardware and a wide range of top quality marine products. The company also provides a distribution service, which supports the marine industry with quality marine products, as well as an architectural rigging arm, which provides service and technical advice to the construction industry.

Managing Director for Allspars, Andy Postle, said: "This expansion is an exciting development for our business and presents another step in our strategic growth.

"We have a strong reputation for customer support and technical expertise in the industry and already have a good worldwide client-base; however this latest expansion will enable us to provide better customer service, in the Solent area, and allow us the ability to respond quickly to our customers' needs."

For more information about the range of services Allspars offers call 01752 266766 (Plymouth), 01489 876876 (Hamble) or e-mail . You can also visit the Allspars stand (G057) at the Southampton Boat Show, 12-21 September.
