Royal Lymington Yacht Club Spring Series - Preview

by Ian Gawn 14 Mar 2007 07:14 GMT 25 March - 29 April 2007

The Royal Lymington Yacht Club, with the great support of Henri-Lloyd, will be organizing ten cruiser races in the Western Solent over five Sundays in March and April, excluding Easter when the Club will be holding its tradition dinghy regatta. The dates for your diary are 25th March, 1st, 15th, 22nd & 29th April 2007, with two races each day.

If there is an up side to global warming, it is because it will almost certainly be mild for the Henri-Lloyd Spring Series, good enough to make the ten races very enjoyable. The Western Solent also offers challenging racing waters with a wide variety of course options for to the Race Officers, whilst the Club offers unparalleled hospitality to all competitors after racing.

As an added benefit, there is the attraction of optional professional coaching available to all competitors after racing, whilst the Club has arranged reduced mooring fees for visitors, promises excellent courses and proven race management and it is less than 20 minutes from berth to start line. Yet again the sailors at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club will take the opportunity to show themselves successful on the water and friendly and welcoming ashore. For more information see www.rlymyc.org.uk/hl-springseries.htm or call the Royal Lymington on 01590 672677 and ask for Anna or Jon.
