Work for Yachts and Yachting

by Gael Pawson 13 Mar 2007 06:39 GMT

Our busy editorial team has a vacancy, so if you're keen on the sport and are looking for a career in journalism, especially on the photographic side, then this could be your chance:

We are currently looking for a Picture Editor or an Editorial Assistant (depending on skills and experience) to help administer our photographic needs and to help write, proof, design and layout Y&Y each fortnight.

Ideally a knowledgeable sailor, you should be familiar with Photoshop, Quark or InDesign. A commitment to quality and the ability to work under pressure are essential. You need to be a strong team player, happy to deal with enquiries and the more mundane sides of the job - including administering our expanding digital library as well as assisting with proofing, layout and general editorial duties. Writing skills an advantage.

Please email gael@yachtsandyachting.com with a covering letter explaining why you are the person we are looking for together with your cv.

Yachts and Yachting Magazine, 196 Eastern Esplanade, Southend on Sea, Essex SS1 3AB.
