THe unique Long Distance catamaran race on Loch Ness, sponsored by Marine Design International, has started to attract some high profile entries. The Ideal Stelrad Formula 28 Racing Team have stated that they intend to take part.

The 50 mile race has attracted interest from cat sailors all over the UK, with a confirmed Spanish entry, and even interest from SOuth Korea and Australia!

Simon Cormack, a Director at Marine Design International said:

"This is an exciting opportunity to sponsor such a unique and challenging event we are pleased that the so many competitors, new and returning, will be able to enjoy racing in the dramatic setting of Loch Ness. The event offers a fitting association given our involvement in current catamaran designs capable of over 20knots, albeit helped by 1100hp. Over the coming months we look forward to working with the organisers to ensure the very best event for all who attend"

If you want to take on The Monster, and sail a Dart 18 or faster, drop Nessie an email.
