by Patricia Juarez 19 Dec 2001 13:50 GMT

e-peopleserve, a pioneering provider of people management services for global enterprises, today announced its sponsorship of the British Nautical Awards 2001.

Considered the 'Oscars' of the boating world, the e-peopleserve British Nautical Awards recognise the best in British boating in 11 categories covering people, products, projects and boats. In addition to title sponsorship, e-peopleserve's sponsorship also encompasses the premier title, the YJA Yachtsman of the Year Award.

Bill Murphy, e-peopleserve's Chief Executive Officer commented: "e-peopleserve is about providing an unsurpassed service that enables our clients to recruit, support, promote and develop their most important asset: their people. The British Nautical Awards not only recognise the best people, but the results of 100 percent dedication to excellence, and we see this as a perfect fit with our company's values."

It is an honour to be nominated for an Award and a symbol of status within the industry to attend the ceremony. Internationally famous round the world yachtswoman, Ellen MacArthur MBE, is included in this year's shortlist for the e-peopleserve YJA Yachtsman of the Year Award[i] for a second time in her whirlwind sailing career.[ii] Also in close contention for the prestigious Award are Simon Curwen[iii]; Ian Sanderson and Peter Dredge[iv].

This year's winners will be revealed to a veritable who's who at the Award ceremony - the most glamorous event on the boating calendar - on the 4th of January, 2002 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

Tickets for the event cost £125 including VAT and include a champagne reception, a three-course dinner with wine and entertainment.
