British marine technology company RAD has appointed Shiv Power and Marine Service as its new authorised distributor in India. The partnership significantly expands RAD's global network and positions the company to support the rapid growth of India's commercial, defence and workboat sectors.

Founded in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Shiv Power and Marine Service is a long established marine engineering specialist with experience supporting commercial operators, shipyards, government agencies and service fleets. The company provides propulsion systems, power solutions, installation services and technical support across India's coastal and inland regions. As an authorised RAD dealer, Shiv Power will supply the full RAD product range, while delivering local installation, commissioning and after sales support.

Sanjeev Sinha, managing director, at Shiv Power and Marine Service, said: "We are proud to partner with RAD in order to bring its advanced propulsion and vessel control technologies to our customers across India. The market is evolving quickly, with growing interest in electric and hybrid systems for commercial, government and industrial applications. RAD's solutions offer the reliability, performance and future readiness that operators are looking for. This partnership strengthens our ability to support customers as they upgrade their fleets and adopt next generation marine technologies."

India is undergoing a major transformation across its maritime and inland waterways industries, driven by government investment, fleet modernisation and increasing demand for cleaner, more efficient technologies. With initiatives such as the Sagarmala Programme, inland waterway development, and a growing focus on electrification and hybridisation, operators across India are seeking reliable, future ready propulsion and control solutions.

Simon Payne, sales director, RAD, commented: "Shiv Power and Marine Service has an excellent reputation, strong engineering capability and a deep understanding of the needs of Indian operators. Their commitment to quality and customer support aligns perfectly with RAD's values. We are delighted to welcome them as our distributor in India and we look forward to working together to support the country's transition toward modern, intelligent and sustainable marine systems."

With Shiv Power's strong regional presence and technical capability, RAD is well positioned to support operators across India's ports, coastal fleets, inland waterways, aquaculture, tourism and workboat markets. The appointment supports RAD's wider strategy to expand its international dealer network and meet rising global demand for electric propulsion.
