Miami provided its typical weather today, rain and shine. Day 4 of the 2020 Hempel World Cup Series in Miami, saw big rain cells come through that provided good breeze, but it instantaneously died down as soon as it cleared. There was a lot of waiting onshore and on the water, which resulted in only 2 races in the RS:X and one in the Laser.

The Lasers launched at 10 am this morning, hoping to get at least two races in. After several trials and errors, the race committee was able to put off one race in mid-afternoon, leaving our CSDS athlete, Hugh Macrae leading the pack with a bullet. While it took some time to get there, Hugh put himself in a good place now sitting in 7th place overall, he comments, "once we finally were able to get one race off, I had a good start, and kept with the fleet and managed to win it."

In the RS:X, one race was able to get under way in the early afternoon, leaving Nikola Girke in 5th and Olivia Mew in 7th going into tomorrow.

All fleets are expected to get three races in tomorrow for the last day of fleet racing before the medal races on Saturday. Stay tuned for more info to come tomorrow!
