The National School Sailing Association is a registered charity promoting sailing as part of the educational experience of young people. Concentrating on primary and secondary education, they aim to include sailing as part of the educational experience of young people.
This year the Association has chosen Hollowell Sailing Club, the RYA 2012 Club of the Year, to host the Single Handed Team Racing Championships.
Taking place on 5th & 6th October, it will see youngster from all over the country take part in some competitive racing, as well as a team from Hollowell's own Youth Squad. The event will be sailed under the Wilson Swiss League format in Topper dinghies which are provided by the organisers.
"We are hoping to run in excess of 200 races during the weekend, so there will be plenty of competitive racing for all teams." said Simon King, event organiser at Hollowell Sailing Club.
For anyone still wanting to take part, full details can be found on the Hollowell website at www.hollowellsc.org.uk/nssa.html or from the Association at www.nssa.org.uk/sh-team-racing.html
