Following the successful inauguration by the RDYC of the Commodore’s Challenge the Royal Western Yacht Club of England is delighted to be able to offer a rematch. The Commodore’s Challenge Cup will be held in the waters off Plymouth on 11th May 2019.
Free to enter, the RWYC challenge the south west coast yacht clubs to enter one or more teams comprising of three separate classes of boat to compete in a fleet, racing in competition under the IRC rating rule to win the Commodores Challenge Cup.
A perpetual cup, the winning club will host the next event in their own waters, and it is expected that this will become a well- supported permanent fixture on the south coast’s sailing calendar.
