Cruising in Croatia - Ancient Croatia © RYA

Croatia's coastline is breathtaking, but its greatest treasures aren't always found on the water. In this episode of Cruising Croatia, bad weather changes our plans, giving us the perfect excuse to step ashore and discover the incredible history hidden amongst Croatia's islands.

From the UNESCO World Heritage landscapes of Stari Grad Plain on the island of Hvar to the remarkable military tunnels beneath the island of Vis, we uncover how thousands of years of history have shaped the Croatia we see today. Along the way we meet local experts, hear stories passed down through generations and discover why sailing these waters is like travelling through a living museum.

The first, second, third and fourth episodes available to watch now on the RYA website and YouTube channel, with new episodes released weekly.
