Together with their official sailing holiday partner, Sunsail, the RYA has launched a new six-part video series designed to inspire more sailors to take their first sailing holiday.

Titled 'Cruising in Croatia', the short series is presented by record-breaking yachtswoman, Dee Caffari MBE. Caffari joins a skippered Sunsail vessel to sail the Dalmatian Coast and, over the six-episode run, showcases the unique qualities of Croatia and sailing holidays.

The RYA aims to inspire more people into sailing through sharing insightful series like Cruising in Croatia which highlight how accessible sailing trips can be for both experienced and new sailors.

In episode one, Dee Caffari provides a guided tour of her yacht, highlighting the features and details provided by the Sunsail team. Caffari and her expert skipper, Mirna, show viewers how to create a journey plan that works with the location and weather. Green Sail join the crew for an episode discussing eco-cruising.

The series also shines a spotlight on Croatia as a holiday destination. Throughout the series, Caffari learns about the history of Croatia from locals. She also experiences island fishing culture and local customs hands-on, showing the unique experiences that are available through sailing holidays.

The series closes as Caffari and her crew join a Sunsail flotilla, an opportunity for the sailing community to come together alongside the stunning Mediterranean coastline.

"It's been amazing to work with the RYA on this exciting series," says Dee Caffari. "Whether you're new to sailing or you've been sailing for years, Croatia is a wonderful destination to explore by sea. I hope this series inspires people to try a sailing holiday and make new memories."

The first episode is available to watch now on the RYA website and YouTube channel, with new episodes released weekly.
