The Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) is pleased to announce details of the third annual Australian Commercial Marine Conference, taking place on 29 July aboard the SeaLink M/V Starship Sydney at Darling Harbour.
This one-day event brings together operators, suppliers and industry leaders from across the country and will feature a strong line-up of speakers, major project updates, the newly introduced Pitch Platform and the return of a dedicated Exhibitor Zone highlighting the latest technologies and solutions across the sector.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority has released the 2026-27 National Compliance Plan, which, among other regulated vessels, addresses Domestic Commercial Vessels. The plan helps industry and AMSA's compliance partners understand the areas AMSA will focus on during the year. These priorities are informed by inspection data, marine incident trends, investigations, audits, search and rescue activity, subject matter expert input and ongoing compliance monitoring.
In Queensland, the Sunshine Coast Council has indicated its support for the Brisbane 2032 Marine Project and will look to advocate for the project to the State Government. The meeting focused on the opportunities the project presents to the Sunshine Coast, including examples of superyachts currently cruising the region and the economic benefits visitation would bring.
The Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA), Australia's peak industry body representing the interests of boating, is pleased to extend into its fourth year a partnership with Repco Commercial, one of Australia's leading suppliers of automotive parts, accessories and tools. BIA CEO Andrew Fielding said, "We are delighted that Repco continues to support BIA and our members, building on a great partnership of the last three years."
During June, Australia's largest state-based inclusive sailing network, Sailability NSW, celebrated the 30th Anniversary of giving everyone the opportunity to participate in sailing, regardless of ability. Like almost all 60+ Sailability branches across Australia, Sailability NSW is entirely volunteer run. At a 30th Anniversary dinner at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, some 120 guests from 25 branches across NSW celebrated the milestone.
In Victoria the BIAV is delighted to announce the Murray River Boat Show as its Victorian Regional Boat Show for 2027. This exciting event will take place in the heart of Yarrawonga, on Lake Mulwala/The Murray, from 12-14 March 2027. This follows the successful Geelong Boat Show in 2025 and Gippsland Lakes Boat Show in 2026, and continues BIAV's reach to another prime boating area of the state.

The exclusive weekend offered attendees an inside look at Seawind's advanced manufacturing operations, combining technical insight with hands-on sailing experiences and Turkish hospitality.
