Installing Smartrig Manager: Five Simple Steps To Peace of Mind

Load monitoring is the ultimate safety feature for sailing yachts. It's also invaluable for maximising sailing efficiency and ensuring equipment longevity.

For a long time it has been viewed as overly complex, or a luxury reserved only for superyachts or larger yachts with crew members to interpret data. Yet, rig failure is a significant risk for all.

Cyclops Marine's SmartRig Manager platform is increasing access by bringing a standard universal load monitoring platform to Garmin, Raymarine, and B&G Multifunction Displays for the first time.

Once five simple steps are complete, owners are equipped for safety and efficiency - at the dock, on the water and in their service schedules.

Processing the data gathered by load sensors, such as smarttune sensors, Smart Rig Manager turns complex numbers into clear, actionable guidance via the instruments sailors already use, through three simple modes: Dock Tune, Live Sailing and Trip Analysis. These three pages are pre-programmed to the rig manufacturer's design specifications, so maintaining recommended settings is as simple as matching up the numbers and colours on screen.

Many yachts are being launched with Smart Rig Manager as standard, but for older yachts, it's just as easy to get set up for safer, smoother sailing, and to guard against costly equipment damage, with ultimate peace of mind.

Take a deeper dive into Dock Tune, Live Sailing and Trip Analysis, or contact a Cyclops expert for more information on how to upgrade.
