A look behind the scenes at the Luna Rossa base in Cagliari, and interviews with several members of the Italian team, including Max Sirena and Peter Burling.

The three-time America's Cup winner reveals why he left ETNZ and why he joined Luna Rossa, following an exchange of text messages and an invitation to have a coffee together.

Burling says that essentially, he could not reach an accommodation with Emirates Team New Zealand over the time he wanted to pursue other projects, and each went their own way.

A few days later, he started exchanging texts with Luna Rossa CEO, Max Sirena, and the transition to the new team began from there.

Burling says he had discussions with other teams, but having worked with several members of Luna Rossa who were part of Emirates Team NZ for their winning 2017 campaign in Bermuda, he felt the Italians had a team structure and chemistry closest to what he was familiar with at Emirates Team NZ.
