The Sydney International On-Water Boat Show is set to transform Darling Harbour into a vibrant open-air festival from Thursday this week (10am to 7pm to Saturday and 10am to 6pm Sunday), featuring an impressive showcase of on-water vessels, whilst also celebrating Australia's iconic marine lifestyle and industry.

Now in its 56th year, the event continues to evolve as a celebration of Australia's love of life on, in and around the water, and will showcase the latest in global marine design, breakthrough innovation and contemporary boating lifestyle. You'll discover what's next for an industry that delivers more than $10 billion in turnover and 35,000 jobs to the national economy.

Freedom Boat Club, a division of Brunswick Corporation and the world's largest boat club, today announced plans to open its newest location at Kalevu Marina on the Georges River, just south of Sydney. Scheduled to debut in July 2026, this represents another exciting milestone in the brand's ongoing expansion across the Asia-Pacific region, further strengthening its presence.

Positioned as significantly different from the status quo, Vision Yachts is now represented in Australia by Catamaran Company, based at "the catamaran hub", The Boat Works on Queensland's Gold Coast, the gateway to the east coast and superb cruising grounds of the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Ian Mackenzie, Director at Catamaran Company established it in 2003.

AIRMAR Technology Corporation, a global leader in ultrasonic transducers and CHIRP technology, is excited to announce the expansion of its distribution network with a new warehouse in Melbourne, Australia. Rainman Desalination, a global leader in marine watermakers, have announced the general release of its fully automated control panel, representing a significant advancement to the line of modular and framed watermakers. The new control panel delivers on the five primary design objectives that address the evolving needs of marine customers worldwide.

Benetti is pleased to announce that Angel Zhou is the new President of Sales for Asia, effective 15 October. With this appointment, the Shipyard further reinforces its presence in the strategic Asian market. In her new role, Angel Zhou will be responsible for managing and coordinating commercial, marketing, and customer satisfaction activities across the region.

Marine Rescue NSW volunteers across the state have experienced their busiest start to a boating season on record, performing 460 search and rescue missions in October — including 130 emergency responses — and safely returning 989 people to shore. Acting Commissioner Todd Andrews said the figures were staggering and follow a record month in September, highlighting the sustained high demand for the Service's operations. "Our 3,500 volunteers were in high demand last month," Andrews said.
