2025 2.4mR World Championship at Fraglia Vela Malcesine - Day 3

by Fraglia Vela Malcesine 11 Oct 2025 18:47 BST 7-12 October 2025

The final battles before the grand finale

Weather conditions continue to bring light afternoon winds, making the races of the 2.4mR World Championship particularly technical and demanding.

Two more races were completed today, bringing the total number of races held since the start of the championship to eight.

On the eve of the final day, USA 160 remains firmly in the lead, but the battle for the podium is still wide open.

Provisional Results after Day 3:

1st place: Jeffrey Linton (USA 160)
2nd place: Megan Pascoe (GBR 173)
3rd place: Urs Infanger (SUI 1022)

More information and full results

The Open ranking is identical to the Overall, while in the NOD ranking (including NOD Para), Antonio Squizzato (ITA 112) takes the lead, followed by Otto Dahlberg (FIN 203) in second place and Marko Dahlberg (FIN 196) in third.

Another day with ULSS 9 Scaligera

The third day of racing once again featured the special participation of ULSS 9 Scaligera, the public health authority that manages healthcare and social services in the Province of Verona.

Guests from ULSS 9 had the opportunity to discover the world of the 2.4mR Class, a true symbol of inclusive sailing, through a guided tour on shore and an exciting on-water experience aboard Siora Veronica, watching the first race of the day up close.

It was another meaningful moment of connection and discovery, made even more special by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the participants.

Partners and Final Events

A special thanks goes to Intesa Sanpaolo, Main Partner of the event, which once again chose to support an inclusive sport — open and accessible to everyone.

To celebrate these days of great sport and friendship, tonight sailors, teams, and staff will gather for the Official Dinner, organized in collaboration with Cantine Tinazzi, who will offer their renowned wines for a toast marking the conclusion of the championship.

Towards the Grand Finale

Tomorrow, with the final day of racing, we will finally discover the winners of this extraordinary 2.4mR World Championship — an event that once again confirms Lake Garda and Malcesine as the ideal stage for international and inclusive sailing.

The 2.4mR Inclusive World Championship 2025 is made possible thanks to the support of Intesa Sanpaolo (main sponsor), sponsors Falconeri, Funivie Malcesine-Monte Baldo, Negri Nautica, Helly Hansen and partners MAN Truck & Bus Italia, Frantoi Redoro, Birrerie Stiegl, Cantine Tinazzi, and Speck Stube.

The event takes place under the patronage of the Veneto Region, Province of Verona, Municipality of Malcesine, and BIM Adige - Province of Verona, in collaboration with World Sailing and the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV).
