Macatawa Challenge 2025: Prep and practice

The scene is set for an exciting weekend of GL52 racing at the GL52 Macatawa Challenge 2025.

At the final event of the 7 regatta GL52 Great Lakes Series (GLS) 2025, seven GL52 teams: Robert & Laura Hughes', HEARTBREAKER; John Huhn's KATANA; Chris Duhon's MOCKINGBIRD, Sharon & Philip O'Niell III's, NATALIE J., Larry Landry & Paul McDowell's PROSPECTOR, Doug DeVos' WINDQUEST and Peter Askew's WIZARD will compete for podium positions at this event as well as for the overall GL52 GLS 2025.

On Thursday, the fleet participated in a number of practice starts and short races shown in the photos below.
