GL52 Ugotta Regatta 2026 - Day 2

by Caroline Rochford 25 Jul 21:13 BST July 24-26, 2026

Harbor Springs? More like Porto Cervo! After a short hour-long delay we were back-in-action and completed three more great races!

Breeze continued to build throughout the day with race 1 starting at 10-12 knots and race 3 ending at almost 20 knots.

Katana was the big victor with two first place finishes, taking over the lead from Wizard. They had a slightly up and down day but still sit on the podium in second place. Windquest currently rounds out the podium in third with 20 points, though Heartbreaker is only one point behind and will try to ruin the fun.

We were excited to have Mockingbird out on the water and they had a great day, two-second place finishes has them right behind offshore titan Hooligan. Cool, calm and collected Fjord saw a lot of improvement that aren't reflected in the scores but kept racing tight between the entire fleet.

Yesterday finished out our buoy racing for this event and today begins one of two days of coastal-style, Tour of the Bay races. We are very excited to have Natalie J joining the fleet for these races. After an incredibly successful offshore season, they could definitely cause some shake ups within the fleet. Warning is at 12pm ET and it is sure to be an exciting day!
