Explore accessible fishing platforms across NSW © NSW DPIRD

DPIRD is proud to promote recreational fishing as an activity that everyone can enjoy! Whether you're fishing in rivers, estuaries, beaches, lakes, or dams, there are many accessible locations across NSW for people of all abilities.

Did you know there are a number of accessible fishing platforms that provide access to fishing for people of all abilities? These platforms offer great fishing spots along with important features like pathways, toilets, and parking, ensuring a more inclusive outdoor experience. Some of these facilities have been supported using funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.

Explore our new interactive map to find fishing platforms (accessible and other) in both coastal and freshwater locations across the state. Please note that some platforms may not be fully accessible, so we encourage you to check them out in advance to see if they meet your specific needs.

FYI: Funding for the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts is now open, including support for infrastructure programs like these. For more information and to apply, check out the funding guidelines on the DPIRD website.

Let's keep working to ensure everyone has the opportunity to fish for life!
