Feri Szincsak, a dedicated volunteer at Clyde Windsurfing and SUP Club, has been recognised with an RYA Scotland Impact Award, celebrating his exceptional commitment and contribution to the Scottish windsurfing community.

After first getting involved with the sport eight years ago when his son began windsurfing, Feri has become an integral figure in the day to day running of the club.

Known for his reliability and hands on help, Feri gives up his time to support various aspects of club activity, from developing and maintaining the compound space, to encouraging young athletes - including his own two children as they progress in competitive windsurfing.

Feri's Impact Award was presented following an outstanding nomination outlining his unwavering dedication, reliability, and all round positive influence at the club.

In addition to his RYA Scotland Impact Award, Feri's commitment was acknowledged locally last season when Clyde Windsurfing and SUP Club named him their Volunteer of the Year thanks to his unwavering commitment.

Jenni Irons is also a parent and volunteer at Clyde Windsurfing and SUP Club. Describing Feri's Impact, Jenni said:

"Feri is one of the stalwarts of Clyde Windsurfing Club... no task is too big or too small for Feri.

"He always has the friendliest demeanour, he has the warmest heart, and the children love him to bits as someone who's willing to pick up two windsurf boards under each arm to help them up from the beach.

"We really would be lost without him. I think every club needs a Feri in their gang."

On receiving his RYA Scotland Impact Award, Feri said:

"I am absolutely surprised. It was never thought that the RYA would give me this award, I'm just here supporting the club!"

"I just come in and help, always looking for something new to make the compound better, make the kids happier!"

A truly deserving recipient, Feri's dedication week in and week out has undeniably helped the club grow and thrive.

Designed to showcase outstanding contributions across the country, RYA Scotland Impact Awards are presented on a rolling basis throughout the year, with nominations open year round.
