Benetti announces sale of custom 80m yacht, the Project Iron Man

The sale of Project Iron Man showcases Benetti's worldwide appeal as a builder of full custom mega yachts. At 80 meters, she embodies her owner's ideals, expertly interpreted by Benetti and the designer, a common vision was realized to raise the bar across the board.
Project Iron Man is a testament to Benetti's commitment to excellence in yacht building. The full-custom 80-meter yacht was introduced to her new owner by Joe Foggia of Northrop & Johnson in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with support and facilitation from the Benetti Americas office. The client, a loyal Benetti owner, sought out Benetti's expertise to create a yacht on the frontiers of design, technology, and seakeeping. With exteriors designed by Giorgio Maria Cassetta and his Designers Team, the mega yacht meets the highest standards for refinement and quality of life.

The owner, having fallen in love with the aesthetics, functionality and reliability of Benetti from a previous vessel, returned to the Shipyard to rediscover and refine a shared vision with deep involvement in the design process. One of the key considerations was creating large outdoor entertaining areas to accommodate the owner's multi-generational family, offering the relaxing and scenic environments they are used to on their current Benetti, ensuring the peace and tranquility they cherish.

Giorgio M. Cassetta, who designed the exteriors of Project Iron Man, comments: "We are honored to create a new, beautiful design for a client that showed us his love from our very first meeting five years ago, and continuously supported our vision through his first and now second build with us. The great attention that he and his family dedicated to the definition of the design will be instrumental to the creation of a new masterpiece."
