Earlier this week, National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) president Frank Hugelmeyer gave an update on the recreational boating industry during the International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) Industry Breakfast. Hugelmeyer discussed recent sales data and trends, highlighted advocacy priorities and emphasized the successful integration of the Discover Boating brand.

OXE Marine, the company behind the world's first high-performance diesel outboard, is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with UFLEX, a renowned manufacturer of marine steering systems and related components. OXE Marine products will be available with UFLEX control systems from late October 2023. This collaboration brings together OXE Marine's innovative diesel outboard range with UFLEX's advanced Integra steering control system, featuring digital communication, commonly known as "fly by wire."

The Integra system, specially designed for outboard motors, leverages the latest technology to provide exceptional performance and versatility. Key components of the system include large and small hydraulic pumps, joysticks, autopilot compatibility, a variety of cylinder configurations, tie bars, NEMA communication, and soon fully electric options. The control system will be compatible with the full OXE product range and can be retrofitted to existing installations as well as new installations.

Blue Innovations Group, a marine technology company, proudly announces the much-anticipated launch of its flagship product, the R30 electric boat, on December 16th in St. Petersburg, Florida. These will be the inaugural electric motors integrated on the Four Winns H2e Bowrider.

Get ready to shiver yer timbers at the Haunted Hull-O-Ween Scavenger Hunt hosted at The Sailing Museum in Newport. From 11am-4pm on October 21st and 28th, Schoonmaker Hall will be transformed into a Davy Jones' Locker! Kids can enjoy a scavenger hunt, sweet treats, and storytelling. Costumes are encouraged. Visitors can also explore the world of sailing through the Museum's interactive exhibitions. Tickets can be purchased in-person or online. Kids under 10 get in for free.
