The international roadshow of Barcolana54 presented by Generali has ended with a press conference held in Koper, which had its focus on the "Go to Barcolana from Slovenia - I Feel Slovenia", the long roadshow of Barcolana54 Presented by Generali which will begin abroad. In the meantime, the Barcolana is working at full speed to organise one of the most eagerly awaited related events, i.e. Barcolana Sea Chef presented by Prosecco DOC, which is being held in the magni?cent Portopiccolo this year, on the evening of 4 October.

Barcolana Sea Chef Presented by Prosecco Doc - The stars of this edition will be chefs Matteo Metullio & Davide De Pra, Emanuele Scarello, Eugenio Boer, Tomaz Kavcic, Alessandro Gavagna, Andrea Canton, Iside de Cesare, Graziano Prest and special guest Franco Favaretto, who on the evening of 4 October are going to cook for the guests of the Barcolana in the magni?cent Portopiccolo. The event, organised with the support of Prosecco DOC and BAT Italia, is part of the programme of Barcolana Maxi Trofeo Portopiccolo (Barcolana Maxi Portopiccolo Cup), during which the chefs are going to take part in the new regatta aboard the registered Maxi boats in the morning, and then cook their dishes for the buffet dinner offered at the gala evening. Tickets to the event will be available starting from Monday on our website www.barcolana.it. Part of the money raised through the event will be donated to charity. "Barcolana Sea Chef is one of the events our audience love the most," said SVBG's President Mitja Gialuz, "and this year it takes on a whole new look as we are partnering with Portopiccolo; 10 Michelin-awarded chefs, whom we all highly appreciate, will be with us. I want to thank Matteo Metullio and Emanuele Scarello, who have taken part in the organisation and whose enthusiasm has reached their award-winning colleagues." Ticket sales open this Monday at 11.00 a.m. There will be around 100 tickets available.

Roadshow - The international roadshow of Barcolana54 presented by Generali has ended with a press conference held in Koper. After the events in Munich and Vienna, both organised with the support of SIOT-TAL (the Italian Society for the Transalpine Pipeline), as well as in Berlin, organised thanks to Generali, the Barcolana's presenting partner, the Autumn Cup was presented to the Slovenian audience in the VIP hall of the Grand Koper Hotel in Koper.

The 54th edition will take place on 9 October 2022 in Trieste, following 10 days of events in the city. Registration for the regatta is already open on our website www.barcolana.it. Slovenia continues to play a key role in the event, thanks to the sports performances of the helmspeople and skippers who have participated and won over the years and to the "Go To Barcolana from Slovenia - I Feel Slovenia", organised in collaboration with Club Nautico Triestino Sirena - Tržaški Pomorski Klub Sirena (Trieste's Sirena Sailing Club), the Slovenian Sailing Federation - Slovenska Jadralna Zveza, and the Union of Slovenian Sporting Clubs in Italy - ZSŠDI.

The race will begin on Saturday 8 October in Piran and will end in the afternoon off Piazza Unità d'Italia. Afterwards, the crews will be welcomed and awarded, as is customary. This is a well-established event that has also inspired the "Go To Barcolana from Ravenna - Hera Cup", the regatta going from the Western Adriatic Sea to the Barcolana, from Ravenna to Trieste.

"'Go to Barcolana from Slovenia - I Feel Slovenia'," said the Barcolana's Director Piero Zecchini, "is one of the events we are most fond of, so much so that we developed other regattas with that same format. We invited Slovenian sailors to take part in the 'Go to Barcolana from Slovenia' as a safe and fun way to reach Trieste on the eve of the Barcolana, where they receive an enthusiastic welcome from our audience every year."
