CL Yachts soon to begin American sea trials with the award-winning CLX96

by CL Yachts 17 Jun 2022 22:31 BST

CL Yachts is thrilled to announce that its first Sea Activity Vessel (SAV), the award-winning CLX96, is currently en route to the United States. The yacht was recently loaded onto a transport vessel and is making the long trek across the Pacific Ocean and through the Panama Canal with a final destination of the Yachting Capital of the World, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

CLX96, while built for an international clientele, is exceptionally outfitted for the U.S. market. Her rugged, eye-catching lines, penned by Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis, will no doubt appeal to American sensibilities. She takes some of her design cues from workboats, with a two-level deckhouse and an inverted windshield that will clear rough water much more quickly than a traditionally raked windshield. The design also helps keep the yacht's interior cool by reducing any greenhouse effect given by overhanging glass.

True to its crossover aesthetic, CLX96 has both speed and long range performance ready for whatever adventures await her owner. A focus on interior volume will also keep passengers happy, with enormous decks on which to luxuriate while under way—with private spaces to steal away for a quiet cup of coffee or a moment with a book. When the yacht needs to get to port quickly, it can make an impressive 24-25 knots at full speed and full load.

CLX96's innovative design and unparalleled performance has not escaped the eyes of contest judges worldwide. It's already won a GOOD DESIGN Award 2020, a Bronze A' Design Award 2021, and the prestigious award from the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2021.

Once CLX96 makes landfall in the Sunshine State, she will undergo sea trials with a select group of potential owners this summer. Then CL Yachts will begin readying her for the big stage at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where she is sure to impress showgoers and attract an ever-growing list of new American admirers.
