Jacqueline Ann Gebhard, 1955 - 2025

It is with immense sadness and broken hearts that we have to announce the passing of TridentUK's Co-Founder, Wife, Mother, Manager and Friend. She passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday afternoon, 3rd August 2025.

As some of you may well know Jackie was diagnosed with cancer over 3.5 years ago and went on to bravely battle through various treatments until the end. It will be without surprise to many that her positivity, strength and resilience shone through despite this gruelling time.

Jackie lived for sailing, her family and of course the TridentUK which she co-founded with Dave back in 1986.

The driving force behind the business, from sewing sails herself in the early days to marketing and later on customer service. Alongside her family she developed, grew and rode the TridentUK wave allowing it to become what it is today.

Not only the mother to seven children who worked within the family business, but also very much a motherly figure to the entire team over the decades. Always full of life, fun and warmth, she brought positive energy to every corner of the company - whether in the sail loft, on the phone with customers, or simply around the kettle in the kitchen.

We know her infectious positivity, fun nature, and non-stop enthusiasm for life will likely have left many an impression on friends, customers, those that she sailed alongside or shared a dance floor with and we would happily encourage anyone to use the Facebook post to leave any messages.
