XOD Captain's Cup at Cowes Week - Day 6

The forecast today was for stronger westerly gradient winds of 18-20kts with gusts of 28 and an ebb tide. The race committee decided to take the fleet into Osbourne Bay from a Committee boat.

With a bit of port bias and better tide to the left hand side, the pin end was very competitive. John Tremlett, Tim Copsey and Fraser Graham's Astralita managed to gain control and, whilst challenged at times, they steadily built a lead to win the Captain's Cup with a day to spare.

Further back the battle for 2nd is intense with only 5 points separating 2nd from 5th.
