Date set for the Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy

Northampton Sailing club are delighted to announce the Steve Nicholson Memorial Trophy event is back in 2022, with headline sponsor Pinnell & Bax.

After a year and a half of Covid disruption to the sailing calendar, it's great news that the popular and well know winter events are now becoming available.

The Steve Nicholson Trophy is one of the most well known winter regattas and has been well supported in the past. The event is raced in aid of Asthma UK charity in memory of Steve, who was a popular sailor and member at Northampton Sailing Club and well respected in the sailing world.

The event which has been held on an annual basis in January since 2002 is a popular winter event for single and double handers with a reputation of providing great racing, raced in two separate fleets with an overall winner of the title.

Sunday 30th January 2022... Hold the date!

Six races are planned this weekend This weekend brings the opening event of the 2025 Solution Travellers Trophy at Northampton SC. Six races are planned: three on Saturday 26th April with first warning signal at 12:30, and three on Sunday 27th April with first warning signal at 10:30.
