Whilst most of the country where busy with last minute Christmas shopping, eleven young Optimist sailors from across the South joined coaches Andy Kerr and Chay Taylor for the second of IOCA South's pre zone winter training sessions at Spinnaker SC.
The forecast for the the day was "mixed" so with that in mind Andy explained to sailors and parents at the morning briefing that he'd run short sharp sessions with respite in the club house as required to avoid the heavy rain showers and/or warm up cold sailors.
The formula certainly seemed to work with most if not all the participants still smiling at the end of the day when it was time for the traditional Christmas Oppie Tea.
