One of Great Britain’s leading offshore race skippers, Philippe Falle, is skippering Puma Logic in this years fully crewed Round Britain and Ireland race which starts on 7th August. This race is the toughest offshore race of the 2006 calendar where some of the top European boats will be fighting it out for between ten and fourteen days.
Due to personal reasons one of the team has unexpectedly had to stand down from the team which has opened an opportunity for someone else to join one of the most successful offshore race teams of the last twelve months. Skipper, Philippe Falle, comments ‘this is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and highly motivated person to join a great team. I believe the success of the last twelve months has been due to the ethos of our training and racing programme. Everyone that joins our team has a complete willingness to learn and have benefited greatly from their involvement. This campaign is very exciting and will push us all to our mental and physical limits over an extended period of time. What a fantastic experience it will be’
Puma Logic, a Reflex 38, has proven herself to be hugely competitive over the past eighteen months with class wins in the Rolex Fastnet race, the RORC Channel Race and then a superb victory in the RORC Offshore Series Championship. This year Puma has continued her success with a second place in both the RORC offshore races she has competed in so far and even more impressive was a 2nd place in the trials for the British Commodores’ Cup team.
Team Puma Logic consists of five of last year’s team who have all come back with greater knowledge and a hunger to defend their title. If you are interested in joining the team then either contact Philippe at philippe@sailinglogicracing.co.uk or visit our website www.sailinglogicracing.co.uk for more information.
The cost of the campaign has been greatly reduced to just £1995.00.
