Road to Antigua Sailing Week 2020 kicks off at Royal Southern Yacht Club Summer Series

by Antigua Sailing Week 18 May 2019 09:06 BST 18-19 May 2019

This weekend the marketing of Antigua Sailing Week (ASW) 2020 kicks off its new promotion The Road to 2020.

This series of invitational regattas across UK, USA and Germany offers Corinthian, yacht club and amateur sailors the opportunity to win the adventure of a lifetime with an all expenses paid trip to experience Antigua Sailing Week.

The first in the UK series is this weekend May 18-19 at the Royal Southern Yacht Club followed by three more events in June, July and September. Antigua Sailing Week race manager Lorna Saunders will be on hand at this weekends event in Hamble to answer questions about participation in this grandaddy of Caribbean regattas.

And it would not be a bonafide Caribbean event without rum, so we will be serving up English Harbour five year old Rum mixed with Fever-Tree ginger beer for the Perfect Storm. The final September event of the summer series will see the winner awarded their prizes.

Other locations to participate and win:

USA - Antigua and Barbuda Hamptons Challenge on August 10 - For more information and to enter visit: antiguabarbudahamptonschallenge.com.

Germany - Antigua and Barbuda Interboot Trophy Challenge on September 21 - For more information and to enter visit: wyc-fn.de

The promotion has been made possible through the collaboration of The Royal Southern Yacht Club and ASW Sponsors - Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority, English Harbour Rum, Fever-Tree, Dream Yacht Charter and National Parks Authority.
