Hayling Island Sailing Club (HISC) will be organizing its annual Perisher Pursuit Race on Saturday 13th February 2016. Registration will start from 9.00am with the race briefing at 11.30am. This year's event is being held in aid of the Friends of Chichester Harbour.
This popular event is open to all dinghy classes and regularly attracts good numbers of RS200s, Solos, 29ers, 420s, Flying 15s and Merlin Rockets amongst a variety of other classes. The full length pursuit race is held within the beautiful sailing area of Chichester Harbour.
The HISC Perisher Pursuit Race takes its name from the Pompey Perisher event which was started by Portsmouth Sailing Club in 1970 to commemorate the club's 50th Anniversary and ran until 2002; HISC ran their first Perisher event in 2013.
Full details about the HISC Perisher Pursuit Race can be found at www.hisc.co.uk. Hayling Island Sailing Club holds six Open Charity Pursuit Races throughout the year. All the Pursuit races are open to visitors with the best four results counting towards an overall result.
