Magic Marine Topper Nationals at Largs Sailing Club - Day 2

Day 2 at the Magic Marine Topper Nationals and with conditions much the same as day one the fleet were kept ashore for 5 hours. Eventually the wind stabilised in direction at force 2-3 and Ken Falcon managed to complete 2 races, in between shipping movements of the Russian Navy.

Each day the fleet are randomly sorted into four fleets the first pair of flights race 5 saw David Carpenter, Max Richardson and Nell Hardie first, second and third. Race 6 was a tight race between two Scots with David Kohler just pipping Callum Calder to the line with Eifion Mon third. Race 7 was won by Oscar McVeigh, with Andrew Brown and Peter Irwin following. Race 8 had Bleddyn Mon leading by the first windward mark and never looking back, with Emily Jackson second and Gareth Henshall third.

Over night on day 2 with 4 races completed by all sailors, and an allowed discard, Bleddyn leads from his brother Eifion and Peter Irwin third. Whilst the weather has been fine, Alan Henderson from www.fotoboat.com has been busy taking lots of pictures see website for details.
