Dart 18 European Championship at Mumbles Yacht Club - Preview

Some of the world's top sailors are about to descend on Mumbles to take part in the Dart18 European and National championships. With around a 100 boats expected it will be one of the biggest spectacles Swansea Bay has seen.
The Championships will run from 16th – 23rd August with racing over 5 days from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd. It's the first time the Championships have come to Wales and scores of competitors from all over Europe are making the journey to compete in Mumbles.
Vice Commodore, Alyson Dacey, says, "Mumbles Yacht club is delighted to have been chosen to host this prestigious event. The UK and Europe have a habit of producing Dart18 World Champions and so we will get to see the best of the best at this event. Our race management team are of an equally high calibre with Olympic standard officials presiding. The event promises to be a thrilling sight for spectators whether they watch from the clubhouse, shore or nearby hilltops."
