Dart 18 Alpen Cup at Circolo Vela Arco

Light southerly winds and a fine northerly on the last day of Saturday 30 September allowed the Dart catamarans taking part in the Alpen Cup, a regatta organised on Garda Trentino by the Circolo Vela Arco, to bring the club's international season, which this year celebrated its 40th anniversary, to a successful conclusion.
After a slow start due to the light afternoon wind experienced during the first two days, the fleet redeemed itself on the last day of Saturday when the fleet was sent out onto the water at 8 a.m., repaid by a 15-20 knot pelèr, which entertained the more experienced and ruffled the less skilled in the four races held.
The strongest wind was certainly appreciated by the Swiss Fehr-Fried, who, after a "warm-up" start, racked up five victories in the last nine races out of a total of nine, winning by a margin of 13 points over the Italians Proli-Baldi, with an equal margin (11 points) over the third placed Dutchmen Gerben-Sylvia ter Avest. Two points behind the podium were the Germans Florian and Adrian Bleisch.
