The Musto BR2 fabric is an innovative 2-layer microporous and hydrophilic (water-loving) coated fabric. The fabric breathes by allowing moisture from the warm, high humidity zone to escape through microscopic holes which are too small for water to penetrate. BR2 fabric is waterproof to a minimum of 15,000mm hydrostatic head and has a breathability of at least 4,000 MVP (moisture vapour transfer) even after five test washes in the Musto lab. Musto technical garments are also treated with a DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent) which encourages water to bead and run off the external surface and preventing the fabric 'wetting-out'.
