Musto, the world's leading technical sailing apparel brand, is proud to support the X-Yachts XR 41 professional sailing team Formula X, skippered by Jesper Radich, in their undefeated run through their 2025 regatta season. With five consecutive victories on the European circuit, the team has now turned its focus to the ORC World Championship in Tallinn, Estonia, from August 8-16, 2025, where five XR 41s are lining up to compete at the highest level.
Sailing under the banner of Denmark's X-Yachts, Formula X is a formidable mix of talent, technology, and teamwork. The boat and crew have dominated every event they've entered, including the MaiOR, Fyn Rundt, and Kiel Week, underscoring the raw performance potential of the XR 41 platform and the dedication of the team.
"Musto's technical edge on the water gives our crew confidence to push harder and sail smarter," said Jesper Radich, skipper of Formula X. "Their gear keeps us dry and allows us to move freely, allowing us to keep our eyes on performance when the conditions get rough."
The Formula X crew is kitted out with Musto's BR3 and EVO ranges, combining lightweight waterproof protection, high breathability, and ergonomic design that allow the crew to perform at their peak, whether battling upwind or grinding through sail changes offshore. The BR3 outerwear offers reliable waterproof protection for inshore and coastal racing, while Musto's EVO Collection provides versatile performance gear suited to a wide range of conditions and physical demands onboard.
"What an incredible feeling! Five regattas and five wins with this amazing Formula X team!" said Kræn Brinck Nielsen, CEO and co-owner of X-Yachts. "Each race has brought progress and reinforced our belief in the team and the potential of the XR 41 race boat. We're really pleased that we have five XR 41s lining up in Tallinn, thanks to our crew, our partners like Musto, and the growing momentum of the class."
Musto's commitment to elite XR 41 performance extends beyond the Formula X team. The British heritage brand also sponsors the Dutch XR 41 team X-Esteem. Skippered by John van der Starre and Robin Verhoef, the amateur pair have applied a professional mindset to their double-handed racing team since 2008 and for the 2025 season, they are racing their brand new XR-41.
With two Musto-supported XR 41s entering the World Championship, the brand is firmly invested in both the growth of the class and success at the pinnacle of ORC racing.
The Garmin ORC World Championship 2025, hosted by Kalev Yacht Club and Piritia TOP Sailing Centre, is taking place from 8-16 August in Tallinn, Estonia. The five-strong fleet features a mix of offshore and inshore racing designed to test the world's best Corinthian and pro-am teams. The Baltic's dynamic weather patterns and complex coastal courses promise tight competition, especially among the fast-emerging XR 41 fleet.
Musto's Marketing Director, Nick Houchin, commented, "Since 2019 Musto and X-Yachts have been ideal partners with both brands driven by performance and innovation. The XR 41 is an exciting race boat and we wish all the teams heading at the ORC World Championships in August great conditions for what promises to be an exciting event."
