X-Yachts Owners Association laying up lunch

Olympic gold medallist Fred Scarlett was guest of honour at the X-Yachts Owners Association laying up lunch, where he presented the season's awards.

Hosted by the world-renowned Leander Club in Henley, training ground for Fred Scarlett during his rowing years, members of the Owners Association saw Solent Cup winners receive their trophies.

Peter Jones was winner of the IRC Class 2 group on X-119 In X Celsis and John Noé was winner of the Family Class on X-332 La Nef IV. Overall winner was Mikhail Watford, winner of the IRC Class I group on Simples, his Xp 44.

The X-Yachts Owners Association will next meet on 15th March 2013 at the Little Ship Club in London and next year's Solent Cup will be held 3rd to 5th May 2013 and hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble.
