by Icarus Sailing Media 21 Aug 2012 07:18 BST 12-22 August 2012

Final leg to Incheon underway

After the opening ceremony of the International Classic Week in Qingdao, it was time for the boats, competing to the Yellow Sea Race, to start their last and longer leg of the race. More than 300 nautical miles are between them and their final destination, Incheon.

Three days of sailing is estimated for this leg and the weather is expected to be from lights to strong winds. The pressure is on the shoulders of the two teams that are on the top of the leaderboard. Team Irene and Band Poe are both eager to win in the overall ranking and they seemed ready to do so.

The windy finale that is forecasted near Incheon will be crucial and decisive for the winner. The most experienced crews have more potential to excel in this leg but also the preparation of their boats is a big factor.

Don't miss the finish of the Yellow Sea International Yacht Race in Korea, to find out the winner.
