End of an era for Crosby Sailing Club

Crosby SC are now very nearly at the end of an era. Their old clubhouse is now nearly fully demolished. It has taken just under a week to get to the stage in the photograph.

The Council have spared no expense, finding them a sumptuous new club house! They realised that to move only the racing fleet to neighbours West Lancs YC, who had generously offered to assist, would cost a fortune in membership fees for the 12-18 month project time span.

The club now has an old container to use as a meeting room, and another to house their rescue boat and then act as changing rooms for the rugged northern chaps. Who knows where the ladies will find to change, they turned down the shared room idea!

To cap it all, they pulled out the plug on the lake and there's no water until the next spring tide...
