Founded in 1924, South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club has a proud history of hosting many prestigious championship events. Maintaining the highest standards both on the water and in a unique clubhouse overlooking Cardigan Bay, the Club offers unrivalled benefits to existing and new members. Membership of the Club is currently open and the Club is committed to training and developing the sailing skills and knowledge of young people. Bona Fide visitors are encouraged to come and enjoy the club's facilities in what must be one of the most spectacular sites in the UK.
In the surrounding waters of Cardigan Bay races are held for IRC and PYS keelboats, National Squibs, Sportsboats, Seabird Half Raters and various dinghy classes. South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club's home sailing waters are amongst the best in the U.K. with good wind characteristics and tidal streams. Venturing further afield the east coast of Ireland and the numerous ports of the west coast of Wales are interesting and engaging sails. The Club has an active Motor Boat Section. A launch service operates from the club jetty from May until September.
