This new sailing event celebrates the maritime history of the Northumberland coast.The "Plate" event is a race for sports boats and keelboats from Amble around Coquet Island to finish at Blyth,home of the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club.The Northumberland Yachting Plate will be awarded to the yacht with the best time for the course.Further bay races on the Sunday after the Plate race.
Further details and entry form on RNYC and Coquet Yacht Club websites.
Entry fee - £40 to include evening meals at CYC on Friday 17th and RNYC on Saturday 18th July and berthing at RNYC.
