Honda Fast Cat Race 2002

by Peter Short 15 Jul 2002 13:31 BST

73 boats started and 60 finished the course. The conditions were almost ideal; the first sun for weeks, warm, a wind from the north west, which backed to the south west later, of force 3/4. The first boat over the line, Will Sunnocks in a Tornado, completed the course in 5 hours 40 minutes with the second boat 26 seconds behind. There was an even closer race for the first Hurricane; Russell Clark beating Simon Northrop by just 1 second.
