Gold medal for Hannah Snellgrove at the San Pedro Olympic Class Regatta © Colin Grey
More of LTSC's fabulous dinghy racers on Championship podiums! Huge congratulations to
Hannah Snellgrove who has taken gold in the ILCA6 in LA at the future 2028 Olympic venue and
to Chloe George who has returned from the RS Games 2026 with a silver medal in the RS Areo 5
Championship and gold in the Female fleet!
Gold for Hannah at Future LA 2028 Olympic Venue
Huge congratulations to our very own Hannah Snellgrove, who has taken gold in the ILCA 6! This
was the first major regatta to be held at the venue that will host the sailing events at the LA 2028
Olympic Games.
The regatta was run using the new Olympic scoring format, which places
greater importance on the final stages of the competition. Hannah took full advantage, posting
4th, 2nd and 1st in the three races on the fourth day. The conditions also suited Hannah's style
of sailing, with mainly moderate winds and a big sea state.
Hannah's performance saw her move
to the top of the leaderboard, where she held onto the yellow bib until the end of the event.
Speaking after the event, Hannah dedicated her gold medal to her dad, Gary, who sadly passed
away just a couple of weeks before the regatta. We are sure the whole LTSC community will join
us in congratulating Hannah on this very special achievement.

More medals for Chloe at the RS Aero European Championship
Huge congratulations to Chloe George, who has returned from the RS Games 2026 at
Travemünde Woche with a silver medal in the RS Aero 5 European Championship and gold in
the Female fleet! This is a fantastic achievement in a highly competitive fleet.
The RS Games
2026 incorporated the RS Aero European and Youth World Championships, with more than 60
boats competing in the RS Aero 5 fleet alone.
Sailors were tested by hugely varying conditions
throughout the event, from light and shifty winds to full-on breeze, pushing both skills and
limits. The RS Games is also a great event for the wider RS sailing community, bringing together
sailors and families from across the different RS classes. With plenty of opportunities to catch
up with old friends, make new ones and enjoy the racing, it's a real highlight of the RS calendar.
Congratulations, Chloe! A fantastic result and another great achievement for LTSC!
