Vaikobi British Finn National Championship 2026 at Brixham Yacht Club - Overall

by Robert Deaves 5 Jul 17:29 BST 3-5 July 2026

Matt Howard has won the Vaikobi British Finn National Championship at Brixham YC after two more races were sailed on the final day on Sunday.

The forecast was for very light winds but the actually came in stronger up to 8-10 knots in the second race. Peter McCoy ended up second with Lawrence Crispin third.

Allen Burrell was the early leader in Race 7, before Howard took the lead to win his fifth race and secure the title. Another big shift in the final race left Norway's Arild Heldal leading round the top, but former champion Crispin came through to win from Mark Spruce

The British Nationals, sponsored by sailperformance.co.uk and Vaikobi, is Leg 4 of the WTF Grand Slam series. 36 Finn sailors are present in Brixham.
