Foiling Week 2026 concluded after four thrilling days in Malcesine, Italy, on the stunning Lake Garda, known as the sailing paradise.

The WASZP class soared as the biggest fleet of the event, with 115 boats, including an impressive 77 boats in the 8.2 division. Once again, the WASZP proved to be the leading one-design foiling class, with all three divisions the class provides: 8.2, 7.5, and 6.9, all with very good participation.

Athletes from around the world gathered to use this event as a key preparation stage ahead of the European Championships. Across the four days, nine races were held in the 8.2 class, seven in the 7.5, and seven in the 6.9. This gathering was a spectacular showcase of the dynamic power and elegance of the WASZP, offering a unique spectacle for all foiling enthusiasts and setting a new standard in one-design racing.

The podium in the 8.2 division featured Matteo Chaboud, Mosé Bellomi, and Francesco Carrieri. In the 7.5 division, Olivia Castaldi, Ricardo Bille, and Giuseppe Chiantera took the top spots, while Artur Brighenti, Elisa Bombana, and Jacopo Andrian led the 6.9 division podium. This event was a landmark moment, highlighting the growing global presence of the WASZP class and its commitment to innovation in foiling.
