FPT x Windy Days Podersdorf is officially under way starting today, and before competition has even begun, Lake Neusiedl has already delivered.

Riders arriving early were welcomed by a run of all-time Podersdorf conditions, scoring several days of proper 3.6 and 4.0 weather in a series of unforgettable warm-up sessions. With plenty of time on the water already under their belts, the fleet arrives at the start line fully fired up.

(Photo Credits: Max Brinnich) The introduction of the new Open Fleet format also sparked a wave of late registrations, bringing the final entry list to 33 riders across the Men's and Women's fleets. The result is one of the most diverse lineups seen on the Freestyle Pro Tour in recent years. At the sharp end, established freestyle powerhouses such as Lennart Neubauer, Yentel Caers, Takumi Moriya and Lisa Kloster will be battling for top honours. Chasing them is a generation of young talents who seem to find themselves fighting for podium positions wherever they go, including riders like Leander Halm, Pier Bongianni and Ziva Batis. In many ways, this is the kind of elite-level lineup that Freestyle Pro Tour fans have come to expect, with world champions, event winners and rising stars all ready to throw down.

What makes Podersdorf special, however, is everything happening around that battle at the top. The event will also welcome back several familiar faces, with Bijou Shahmirian and Andreas Rossler returning to competition after time away, while former stars Max Brinnich and Max Matissek, and even Freestyle Pro Tour Big Boss Adam Sims are set to make a return to competition. Highly-rated rookies like Arne Jörn and Kiril Kirilov will be looking to make an immediate impact as riders who are almost expected to cause upsets, joined by a strong contingent of stylish local sailors including rippers like Nic Panne and Johannes Kratky, as well as a host of other newcomers eager for their first taste of competition.

Windy Days Podersdorf brings every corner of the freestyle community together on one stretch of water. What began as a local community initiative designed simply to get riders on the water together has grown at remarkable speed. Just one year later, world champions and established Freestyle Pro Tour stars will line up alongside local rippers, returning legends, ambitious rookies and first-time competitors, all sharing the same event and the same passion for freestyle. With the action going down on the shores of Lake Neusiedl, one of the most iconic locations in the history of European freestyle, FPT x Windy Days Podersdorf is shaping up to deliver something special. From FPT debuts to battles between the world's best, the event is shaping up to be a celebration of the "freestyle family" with all riders coming together to share the stoke.
